Call for Papers: Academic Study of Religion

Arc, an interdisciplinary journal focused on the academic study of religion, just put out a call for papers. Please feel free to share/spread the word:

Arc, The Journal of the Faculty of Religious Studies, McGill University is accepting articles for the upcoming volume, slated to appear in early Fall 2010.

Arc is an interdisciplinary, refereed journal published annually by the Faculty of Religious Studies, McGill University. The journal combines the talents of professors and graduate students in offering space for scholarly discussions on various aspects of the academic study of religion—including method and theory in the study of religion—with focus in the following areas:

Philosophy of religion
Social ethics
History of religion
Comparative religion
Studies of sacred texts (including Eastern and Western traditions)
Theology
Interreligious dialogue

Arc encourages submissions from diverse religious traditions and perspectives.

The submission deadline is April 30, 2010. Articles and book reviews submitted after that date will be considered for the 2011 volume of Arc.
